What a beautiful litter this is! We waited 6 years to have a litter by Walter and my breeding partner, German Carignano (Dukeang – Argentina), and I could not be more pleased with the results. Before I go any further, though, I must acknowledge the invaluable contribution of the co-breeder of this litter, Olive’s co-owner, Bill Flora. The time to breed Olive came during the cold of winter and rather than put Olive on a plane to Indiana for her rendezvous with Walter, Bill and his wife, Teresa, made the cross-country odyssey to ensure that the breeding took place. We are immensely grateful to them for their sacrifice of time and the effort that they went through to ensure that these puppies came into the world.
Thanks are also due to my long-time friend, Annette Didier, Walter’s breeder/owner. We first met Walter at the 2013 Nationals in Tucson and we’ve looked forward to the day when we would have Walter puppies. We have certainly not been disappointed. Together Walter and Olive have given us a beautiful, healthy, outgoing and affectionate litter of puppies.
The puppies will soon be going to their new homes – the first leaving this coming Tuesday. I’m often asked how I can bear to part with them but, to be honest, I can’t wait for the puppies to begin their new lives with wonderful families that I’ve chosen for each of them.
