The puppies’ dewclaws were removed this morning, a process more painful for mom who waits crated in another room while procedure is quickly performed. I remove the dewclaws myself and she is soon reunited with her puppies.

We wake this morning to the sight of this lovely bitch and her beautiful new family. Mom and puppies are all doing great. Thank you to everyone who has sent their good wishes for Tiny. She is healthy and active but passed a restless, uncomfortable night last night, suggesting that the time is drawing near.
The whelping box was brought in today and Tiny is checking out familiar accommodations.
