2022 Litter News:

A litter of 5 girls and 1 boy (all tri-color with the exception of one red & white girl) was whelped March 5, 2022. Puppies from this litter have all found their new homes.

Due to a parvovirus case in our home in January, this litter is being raised with the help of some very good friends and it will be the only litter we will have in 2022. The next Talbot Hill litter is planned for spring 2023. We are not accepting applications for puppies at this time.

  1. I found your site after hours of scrolling and comparing dogs and sites. CLEARLY you are a very special breeder! Do you also breed for a person who would like a Beagle as a pet and not to show?? Our family is head over heals in love with this breed and are looking for a ” proper” beagle. I have had dogs all of my life and have had a ” beagle-ish” dog but never a pure beagle. Any helpful hints your could offer? We would love to have a dog from you! Thank you, Jean Neubohn

    1. πŸ™‚ Thank you for your comment, Jean! Yes, of course, all of my beagles are pets first and each breeding is done with many considerations in mind….

As a breeder of show beagles, I am breeding according to a written standard that describes what an ideal beagle should look like in order to perform the function for which the breed was originally developed: hunting rabbits. My goal is to breed dogs that can still perform that function and at the same time exhibit the beauty and wonderful temperament of this very special breed. I also bear in mind that, in reality, very few of my dogs will spend their lives hunting but instead will spend their lives as someone’s beloved companion. Breed type, structure, health, and temperament are all equally important not only as I select the dogs that will continue on in my breeding program but also knowing that the decisions that I make in each of these areas will affect the quality of the companions that I share with others.

It has been a joy to share this breed with many families over the years and I would be happy to discuss the breed with you further. πŸ™‚

    2. We have two Talbot Hill beagles. And Carrie is the best! Not only is she our breeder, she has become a friend. Maya (Talbot Hill Opus One) and Marco are wonderful dogs.

      1. Marco and Maya are fortunate to have you as their “Forever Family”. As I have said before, you are the Platinum Standard for beagle parents and I am so grateful for your friendship and the wonderful home that you give to my beagles!! Thank you!! ❀

      2. In 2007 we were looking for a beagle puppy and we found a friend. Carrie was there to comfort us when we had to say goodbye to our first beagle. Thank you Carrie for being so special.

      3. What I love about what I do is not only sharing my life with some beautiful dogs but also the wonderful people that they introduce me to. They become family…and such a special part of my life. ❀

  2. Hello Carrie,

    wonderful beagles that you have!

Just wondering will you have puppies available this year?

  3. Hi!
I can’t find an email contact on your page, so I hope this is an OK place to introduce myself to you!
I am a grade A grass fed goat dairy near you! I am letting breeders in the area know that we sell goat milk for pets off our farm and at many drop points all over the area. I put my Anatolian and rat terrier litters onto goat milk at 3 weeks old, and supplement the bitch to increase her milk flow. I cover the pups food with goat milk when I start feeding as well. Goat milk is considered medicine in most of the world. It alkalinizes the body, it corrects any digestion problems and digests in 20 min. It has 30 live enzymes that aid in assimilating our food. It is the universal baby formula – all mammals can drink it. Let me know if you are interested in a free half gallon!

    1. My e-mail is listed in the column to the left on this page. Thank you for the information about goat milk. I am not actively breeding at this time but will keep the information for future reference. πŸ™‚

  4. After reading your page and researching some, we are interested in procuring a puppy, preferably a girl, but it all depends on personality. We a have a very lovable Lab mix who is excellent with smaller dogs and a cat who has grown up ignoring and loving the dogs she has lived with.

My wife and I are very responsible pet owners and are looking for a smaller companion for our dog Baloo & our cat Minerva, We have a large fenced yard and Multiple Dog parks near by.

Please let us know the availability and also the rates you charge. Please contact us through the Email off the post at your earliest convenience

    1. I appreciate the daily inquiries that I receive regarding my upcoming litter. πŸ™‚ It is my first litter in six years, it will be my only litter this year, and I will not have another litter for at least two years. I am very excited to have another litter of puppies after surviving cancer in 2008…and the physical, financial, and personal aftermath…..but, as I have stated on this site…I am not responding to inquiries at this time. At this point, I do not even know if Tiny is pregnant. I don’t know how many puppies she will have or if I will have any for sale. An application notice will be posted in the blog in May, if and when I know that she is expecting. Screening potential homes for my puppies is a responsibility that I take very seriously and it is a process that I am not yet ready to undertake. As mentioned in the “I Want A Talbot Hill Puppy” post, pet puppies are $800 and I do not maintain a waiting list. To receive the latest news and to be notified as soon as an application is available, please “Follow” the Talbot Hill blog.

      1. Getting excited to hear about the upcoming litter. Hoping we are able to adopt one of your puppies. We are excited to hear how the delivery goes… it must be exciting for you too!

  5. I wish there were more beagle breeders such as you with your ethical, caring, loving ways. I live in California and have a beagle now but would love another one in the future. I would even be willing to drive to Talbot Hill to pick one up! I’ve tried looking for breeders in California but most of the them are no longer breeding. Any additional info you can provide will be most appreciated. Again, thank you and wishing you much health!!!πŸŒΊπŸŽ€

    1. Thank you for your kind remarks, Cindy. There are many reputable breeders in California. I would suggest that you start by inquiring at Danter Beagles in Clovis, CA. http://www.danterbeagles.com Terri got her initial brood bitch from Talbot Hill so many of her dogs go back to my breeding. She is a sweet and caring person and if she doesn’t have puppies now, she would be able to point you in the direction of a good breeder who is expecting puppies.

  6. Once the puppies are available to the public, I would be very interested in adopting one as a family dog. We have a nice yard and 2 loving girls dying for a Beagle!

  7. We are very interested in your puppies! You seem like a very special breeder, and we have heard good things about you. We have been looking the perfect beagle for months. We would love if we could meet one of these beagles when they are available to the public! We have a huge yard and will take a beagle into our loving arms. We live in Bellevue, and getting to Seattle will be no problem at all. Thank you so much, and we hope to make one of these adorable puppies part of our family.

    1. Thank you for your interest in my beagles, Alka. I hope to start making some decisions about the future of my puppies in the next few weeks. Please “Follow” my blog for an announcement about an available puppy or puppies. πŸ™‚

  8. Can you recommend breeders in washington state that might have puppies for sale? I understand all of your current puppies (for pets) are taken. Thanks!

  9. I am in Oregon travelling to Seattle. Do You have any beagle puppies available. Mine would be a good home and I have experience and good rferences. Thanks, Don

    1. Thank you for you interest in Talbot Hill Beagles. All of the puppies from my 2015 litter have found new homes. Information about a 2016 litter will be announced in October 2015. Please “Follow” my blog for news about upcoming litters. πŸ™‚

  10. I am currently looking for a beagle puppy. Not looking for a show pup just an addition to our family. I currently have a four year old beagle. MY LOVE child. And would love to add another. Can you help me?
    Kelly Marchel 360-721-4723

    1. Hi Kelly!

As mentioned above, information about acquiring a Talbot Hill puppy is described on the Puppy Application page of my site. Please follow the instructions and fill out an application. I have not yet reviewed any of the applications for the 2016 litter and do not maintain a waiting list so once the litter arrives, everyone will be on an equal footing. I will begin to contact people by e-mail when I know that I have puppies available. Please follow my blog for the latest updates and photos.

  11. Good morning Carrie, I am so excited to have come across your website! Your puppies are absolutely beautiful and exactly what my husband and I are looking for!
I did read that you removed the application for the June 2016 litter. Please contact us if something changed and you happen to have a puppy available. Thank you so much in advance!

  12. Hello, do you names and contact information for breeders here in washington with current or upcoming litters for 2017

  13. I am currently a beagle owner. He is 12 and is dying of mesothelioma. I at first didn’t want to replace him he is very special to me but I think it might be good therapy! I am very interested in a puppy!! My name isRoxanne

    1. I’m so sorry that you are going through this difficult time, Roxanne. I wish the best for you and your beagle in the days ahead.

Please “follow” my blog for news about the litter and for an announcement when applications will be accepted. An application will be posted on my blog in mid-May. I will not be considering homes for the puppies until that time.

  14. Good afternoon,

In December 2005 I got the most amazing puppy I have ever known from you. Would it be possible to get one from the same lineage?

  15. Dear Talbot Hill Beagles,

I would like more information on the July littler, as I would love to make one of your beagles a member of our family!

    Thank you!

  16. Absolutely beautiful, we are currentlyenjoying our second Beagle, Sadie, who is a 2yr old from a breeder up in Fbks Alaska that moved out of state 2yrs ago. My wife loves to do training with Sadie and our family enjoy’s her so much. Is it possible to enquire about a beagle puppy here. I would so much like to surprise her with another one, she talk’s about it all of the time. You could make me a hero in my wife’s eyes…. please say yes

  17. Hi Carrie!
I currently own one of your beagles Talbot Hill Dukeang High Road to Kinsglo “Aeden” (Porkchop). He is doing wonderful and is the best dog we have ever owned. We are buying a new home with more yard and really want to get another beagle from you, I can’t find your application on the page and wonder if you could email me and we could get in the wait-list?

    1. It’s great to hear from you and great to hear that Aeden/Porkchop is doing great, too! I’d love to see him again one day. I don’t keep an application on my web site because I don’t keep a waiting list. I accept applications when I have puppies available. Otherwise, I’d get applications every day and have a list a mile long and I typically have just one litter per year. 2021 was an anomaly, due to COVID, and I don’t have plans yet for a litter in 2022. Please join the Talbot Hill Beagles Facebook group and “Follow” my blog for the latest news about available dogs.
